Our Mission Our mission is to provide educational, financial, nutritional and social support to abandoned, neglected and underprivileged children in South Florida, the nations of the Caribbean and The Islands of the Bahamas. Additionally, we recognize that many times the root cause of neglect is the lack of education on the part of single parents and it is therefore DVI's further mission to educate and enable single parents to provide for their children. Our motto is Touching Hearts, Changing Lives. Where we can, we are committed to changing communities for the future generations. Our beginnings... Our founders, Linville and Stephanie Johnson, witnessed first hand the growing numbers of neglected children in their native country, The Bahamas and responded by sharing their time and financial resources. What started as a few hours of volunteer time here and there in orphanages and church missions has grown to be a lifelong passion for the husband and wife team. “It would have been easy to turn a deaf ear to the cry for help, in fact many do, but for us, ignoring this crisis was not an option”. And so... DVI was born. Since that time others have joined in the less than glamorous mission and the Friends and Partners of DVI have grown. |

PRESIDENT AND CO-FOUNDER Linville Johnson is Founder and President of Dreams and Visions International. He has spent most of his professional life in the marketing arena in the employ of the Bahamas Government. He currently holds the position of Deputy Director and General Manager of the Religious Market Department for the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism. |

CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS Stephanie Johnson is Co-Founder and member of the Board of Directors with responsibilities for Program Development with Dreams and Visions International. She has an extensive background in the area of customer service and currently serves as a Consultant to a Healthcare company. |

VICE PRESIDENT Larry Van Dusseldorp is President of Van Dee Services, a company that offers mailing services, warehousing, literature and product fulfillment, digital document printing, kit assembly, trade show services and a bilingual call center. |

BOARD MEMBER George Gadson is an award winning international artist and entrepreneur. Among his many accomplishment, Mr Gadson was commissioned to create two limited edition commemorative sculptures, “The Kicker” and “The Quarterback” for the 1995 South Florida Superbowl XXIX and the 1999 SuperBowl XXXIII. |

SECRETARY GENERAL Anthony Newbold has been a member of the Florida Power & Light team for more than 35 years where he currently holds the position of Senior Manager – Corporate & External Affairs. He has been an active member of many business and civic organization including holding the position of the Past President of the American Heart Association (S. Dr. Tom Fortson - President/CEO PROMISE KEEPERS INTERNATIONAL Thomas S. Fortson, Jr. was named President and CEO of Promise Keepers on October 1, 2003. He had served as Chief Operating Officer since 1996. Dr. Fortson spent many years in corporate America, serving as an administrator at General Motors Corporation in Detroit and as the Vice President of Human Resources at Edwards Baking Company in Atlanta, Georgia. He has served as Dean at the Atlanta Center for Theological Studies and as President of Next Step Consultants, a Christian consulting group based in Atlanta. Dr. Fortson sits on the Board of Trustees for Moody Bible Institute and is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Religious Broadcasters |
